On Saturday we went all the way to the South Bay for the Hermosa Beach Open. It turned out to be a wonderful day. The weather was gorgeous. We ponied up for a parking spot next to the beach (so we didn't have to schlep all our stuff around), got great seats to some great matches, and met up with ex-PhatNoiser Jen (thanks for the Yakult). Devin even napped through lunch for us! Our California Coastal Commission must be asleep at the wheel, as the AVP was able to pull off charging admission for all seats on the top 3 courts, though our contacts came through and got us into the VIP tent :-)

As always, Devin was a delight to go out with. We swear he does better when he gets out and experiences new things. At the beach he seemed to be working extra hard to look cute, and to make sure other people noticed him being cute. Always our little ham...
