When we bought our house a few years ago, we put together a list of things we wanted to fix up. We're getting towards the end of our original list, and next up was getting a green yard. This started with installing a sprinkler system, since there's no way we'd remember to water everything by hand to keep it green. As tends to happen with these things, the project ballooned to include replacing our brick planters with stonewall, and re-doing our back walkway. April has been wielding her new stonewall skills on our front yard, and I pitched in today to help with the back walkway. After a day of digging dirt, shoveling gravel, and compacting it down, I'm tired and sore in ways I haven't felt since helping with all my dad's projects back home. It's going to look great when it's done, and then we can take a break from housework for a while!
