One big thing Jonalyn & I haven't agreed on yet in raising Devin is his sports team affiliations. Jonalyn thinks he should be a Red Sox/Patriots fan, I prefer Giants/49ers. It'll be a few more years until he's old enough to have the real battle, but for now we had an opportunity to come together on something we could agree on - beat the Dodgers!

We got Susan & Kevin's awesome seats for the Sox-Dodgers (pre-season) game on Sunday and went with Johanna & Alex. We all had a great time, except for a stretch in the third when Devin got quite a bit upset. We're not sure if it was caused by the Red Sox errors, Dodgers runs, or crowd noise, but he soon got over it and made it to the end of the game like a champ. There was a slightly smaller crowd at Dodger Stadium than the 115,000 at the Colosseum the night before, so we even made it home in record time.

Later at home, Max & Staci came over to bottle Westbach Brewing's first beer - the Bavarian Hefeweizen that's been fermenting in the corner of the kitchen the past couple weeks. It's a lot of work! I thought everything would be easy after the initial brewing, but I didn't factor in how hard it would be to clean 50 bottles (though we only ended up with ~30) and transfer all the beer around. Hopefully the next one will be easier. Until then I have a greater appreciation for the work that goes into each bottle I buy at the store.

Another exhausting weekend. Fortunately, today is a state holiday, and we have to "work" from home as day care is closed.
